Linda Blair

Linda Linda LindaLinda Blair was five years old when she became the first child actress to get a role in The Exorcist. She had previously worked as a model over three years and then acted as the child possessed, Regan. Linda Blair quickly rose to fame and won an award called the Golden Globe. She was scheduled to be awarded an Academy Award. But when news broke that some roles were actually dubbed and that a stunt dummy acted for 8 seconds in the movie, the dream was shattered. Linda was able to secure leading roles in a number of films, such as Born Innocent (#1 TV film of 1974) as well as Sarah T. - Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic(1975) in addition to her role in the Exorcist II sequel Exorcist II : The Heretic. When she bought cocaine under social pressure when she was 18 this resulted in her being detained and a sentence of three years probation. This highly-publicized drug bust led Linda to be placed on the blacklist in Hollywood, and her work was eventually reduced to B-movies, and occasionally TV guest appearances.
